Every dancer who steps in front of my camera has spent years building something rarely documented, the discipline, the repetition, the commitment. I photograph that dedication as fine art, portraits made to be printed and lived with. This is work for families who already value their dancer as an artist, and want art in their home to show it.
Kathryn Costello is a fine-art dance photographer based in Groton, MA, serving dancers throughout Massachusetts, Greater Boston, Southern New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Dancers travel to her studio for creative editorial portraits, movement photography and fine-art dance portraits.

Fine-Art Dance PhotographerKathryn Costello has been a professional photographer for more than 20 years, with a special concentration in dance and movement portraiture. Her work explores moments of movement that are imperceptible in real time—using time, light, and precise timing to create expressive portraits that reveal the artistry and athleticism of the dancer.
Her dance photography has been exhibited in the Greater Boston area, including work featuring professional and Boston Ballet dancers. Kathryn has also been recognized by the Professional Photographers Association of Massachusetts for her expertise in Dance & Creative Portraits, including teaching other photographers about photographing movement and dance.
Her studio is in the Prescott Center in Groton, Massachusetts, Kathryn works with dancers throughout Greater Boston and New England. Her studio sessions include fine-art dance portraits, audition and portfolio photography, and professional headshots for dancers
